I think some clients have trouble understanding pain and how/when to manage it through exercise physiology treatment. Providing education on this is one of the most important things we can do for clients. I am a strong believer that exercise is medicine and there is a form of exercise for everyone to maintain/improve their overall health and wellbeing no matter what age you are.
Bachelor of Exercise and Sports Science (Honours – Major in Exercise Physiology) at the University of Queensland. ASCA Strength and Conditioning Coach – worked at numerous sporting organizations including the Brisbane Tigers, UQ Sport, GPS Gallopers and Downey Park Netball. Sports Trainer for numerous schools – while I was studying my degree.
Having a large team of Exercise Physiologists to work with and bounce ideas/learn from. I like that I get to work with several different EP’s in the company and we can discuss things that have worked/ haven’t worked with clients to continue to provide the best service we can. At Achieve, I really enjoy working with young athletes learning how to control their body, manage injuries and improve their physical performance for their relevant sports.
I was born in Victoria and moved to Queensland when I was young with my family. Growing up as a kid I have always thoroughly enjoyed participating in a variety of sports including tennis, volleyball, and basketball. This made me quite interested in how our body works, injuries and athletic performance.
Reliability, Sincerity, Adaptability, Success
I enjoy playing volleyball and tennis, watching the Melbourne Storm carve teams up and watching Marvel movies and tv shows. When COVID wasn’t around, I enjoyed travelling around the world experiencing different cultures and food.
